We invite and encourage you to become involved by attending monthly meetings, chairing and/or volunteering to help with any of the fun committees and activities. Please read about committee descriptions and openings and consider helping this year! 

Join Us for our next PTG Meeting Wednesday, May 9th 2012 at 7:00 in the NGES cafeteria. The May Agenda  and the PTG By-Laws are available.  A FUN FAIR Meeting will take place immediately after (8:00 start time). Everyone is welcome, come learn how you can get involved!

Fun Fair is the largest fundraiser for NGES during the year and requires a
tremendous amount of parent support.  Read the latest Press Release! 

Toward the end of each year, the NGES PTG (all parents of NGES) get
together to bring our community one of the biggest events of the year in Grafton.  This is a community wide event that supports the kids of NGES. It is ourlargest fund raiser of the year andtypically brings in approximately $20,000!

All proceeds from the event go toward your child’s enrichment programs and other various events/programs/supplies that take place or are needed.

Some of the exciting events at Fun Fair are: Pony Rides, Trackless Train Rides (NEW!), Pottery Painting (New!) Tie Dye T-Shirts (NEW!), Bounce Houses and Inflatables, Tennis Tubes filled with surprises, Angry Birds & Scavenger Hunt (NEW!), Alpacas, Cake Walk, Raffle and Silent Auction and much, much, more!

*Food donated by Pepperoni Express
*Entertainment by DJ Josh Briggs
*Special appearances by "Finz", the Worcester Sharks Mascot (from 10 to 11) and Scooby-Doo!

Raffle and Silent Auction Information:

Special thank you to Cohen Law Services for their generous
donation of a fantastic Red Sox package: 4 box seats in the Home Plate Pavilion
and a VIP parking pass in the lot across from Fenway. ($900 value) This will be
our feature raffle for $20 a ticket!

Volunteering at Fun Fun Fair, we need your help!

VOLUNTEER INFORMATION AND SIGN UP HERE

NGES Fun Fair is our largest fundraising activity of the year!  It all can't happen without your help.  Please consider volunteering a few hours of your time to make this day a success.

Fun Fair is on Saturday May 12th from 10-3pm, however we need volunteers Friday night and Saturday before and after for set up and clean up!

If you sign up, please be sure that you let us know if you can not make it for some reason.  We are counting on you once you sign up.

***The PTG Board would like to remind volunteers that while you are working as
volunteers for the fair, you are representing the PTG and we respectfully ask
that volunteers please refrain from promoting any political candidates (such as
wearing buttons or t-shirts) as in accordance to our 501-C bylaws. 

Grandparents are great volunteers and are welcome!

SPRING Planting Day at NGES!  Sunday, April 22nd

We would like to extend a big thank you to Walmart, Perrault Nurseries and the Kriz Family who donated some of the plants and shrubs that were used to spruce up the school grounds.  In addition, Dunkin Donuts provided coffee and donuts for the volunteers.

Student Directory Now Available

The 2011-2012 Student Directoy is available for purchase.  The directory lists only those families who have given the NGES PTG permission to include them.  The contents of this directory are confidential and are for the private use of the NGES parents, teachers, administrators and students. The use of this directory for any other purpose, including solicitation, is strictly prohibited. The cost is $2.00 for each directory.  If you would like a copy of the directory, download the order form and turn it in to the school with your payment.

Expressing Thanks - Pepperoni Express, located on Worcester Street in North Grafton, received an honorary plaque from the North Grafton Elementary School PTG thanking for their continuous support.  Read the article and view the plaque online or better yet inside Pepperoni Express!

Stop & Shop
-  Enroll your Stop & Shop card in the school rewards program at Know Your School Night or online at www.stopandshop.com/aplus.  The PTG will have a computer set up in the cafeteria for you to link your frequent buyer card to a % donation for each purchase you make.  From October 7th through March 29th our school will earn points towards cash at the end of the year.  We raised over $900 last school year just through this easy program! Thank you for participating!

After School Enrichment Program:    Parent volunteers are ESSENTIAL to this program- any time that you can share is appreciated.  Please contact the PTG Board if you can help.  Enrollment is now open for the Spring ASEP Sessions.  Programs to include Art, TeamWorks, Apple Tree Arts and more! Learn all about the programs offered and download the enrollement form here.

Teacher's Pantry - The teachers pantry is in need of the following items:  paper towels, tissues, saltine crackers, ritz crackers, hand sanitizer.  If you are able to donate any of these items, please drop off at the front desk with a note:  Attn:  PTG / Teacher Pantry supplies

NGES PTG Mission statement

North Grafton Elementary is a community of learners where academic, social and personal growth is valued and nurtured.  Together we value:  Respect for self and others, a positive attitude towards learning, and a strong academic foundation.  When our children leave North Grafton Elementary School , we want them to be respectful, productive and responsible students.


All parents and guardians of children enrolled at North Grafton Elementary School are automatic voting members of the PTG.  The principal and all members of the staff at North Grafton Elementary School are automatic voting members of the PTG.  There are no annual membership dues.
